Overview


saccular: outgrowth like a sac from vessel wall, causes subarachnoid hemorrhage
lacunar stroke: obstruction of small vessels, rupture = charcot

Rupture



xanthochromia: yellow discoloration of CSF
no focal deficits: bleeding not in lobes of brain (no weakness, sensory, motor problems)

Berry Aneurysm

Acomm most common
Pcomm second most common
AComm

if very large and unruptured can cause symptoms
PComm


if aneurysm, it will compress constrictors and dilate the pupil
Charcot Bouchard

ICH: intracerebral hemorrhage
