• regular dosages of narcotics for pain

• amylase/lipase not helpful

• pancreatitis can leads to thrombosis that obstructs splenic vein (pancreas next to splenic vein)

• result: dilate blood vessels that connect left gastric and splenic

• upper GI bleed

Pancreatic Cancer

• obstruct flow of bile

• jaundice

Symptoms

• enlarged but not inflammed due to obstruction
